Quick guide on all games and their versions?

I keep seeing ppl referring to localisations i wasn't aware of and different character names. I have the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney trilogies for the Switch.

Could someone who is in the know just explain the different versions of each game, including Investigations, and the differences between them?

EDIT: Also, I keep hearing ppl talk about an anime as well; I assume it's this one?)
