Planet Swapping no longer working?

As the title says, Planet swapping for events is no longer working for either myself or my husband as of the current event (Cashella).

Even after going through the correct motions, the requirements are increasing exponentially each time, rather than super slowly like it’s supposed to.

Did they remove this as a strategy? Has anyone else had luck planet swapping this event?
