Art teachers of reddit, is it worth it?

I think I want to be an Art teacher. I just want to know what steps i should take to obtain this goal, and if my time will be worth it in the end? (Gearing more towards middle-school teaching)

I have a long lived passion for art, and think the skills I have are decent and my ideas are relevent and good, however, both of which can be stretched and developed even further. So I dont think i would hate the job, per say, since it is already a well enjoyed hobby.

Im more worried about the things that I hear, like being under paid, dealing with certain parents, and stubborn students. (Is it really as bad as I hear??)

I want to keep doing what I love as a career, and teach others about it too, but I worry itll be not as I hope it to be.

So I ask again, would it be worth it to direct my studies towards that? And if so, how should I go about that? What do I major in? (Seems like a silly question haha)

If not, please elaborate why?

Furthermore, I am a dual enrollement student, so I do have /some/ time to decide what I want, but I do want this time in college to mean something towards my future, so if I need to major in art, I can start it now versus going willy nilly on classes that won't mean anything for the major?

Thanks in advance if you reply, I like turning to reddit for advice like this rather than google, because I like to hear real thoughts from real people. Thanks!
