First time Australia as an Animal lover

Hi.

My husband planning a long trip for the end of 2025. New Zealand, French Polynesia and Australia.

The focus is on New Zealand and there we want to spend 6-8 weeks, then around 2 weeks on French Polynesia (a few days on Moorea, Bora Bora and Tahiti) and then head to Australia. The focus in Australia are animals (no spiders 😄) like Wombats, Koalas, Kangaroos, Penguins, etc. Where are the absolutely hot spots to see this animals in their natural habitats? We also want to visit Uluru, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Cairns and want to see the Great Barrier Reef, drive the Great Ocean Road and visit Kangaroo Island and Philip Island.

Any suggestions especially for wildlife watching and for our route? How much time should we plan for this?
