How young is too young to explore bdsm/kink spheres?

I’m 22, never had sex, but very curious. I’m unsure if it’s the early twenties, but I find I have a pretty high libido and love to research lots of sex or sex-adjacent topics.

It’s all mostly hypothetical at this point, but the little I’ve experienced in real life so far only points to my sexual preferences being true. Either way, I’m just wondering at what age people usually explore their kinks, or the bdsm scene generally. Am I wayyy too young?

I wonder if I’m developing unhealthy habits or expectations for a relationship (not that I’d expect, or even want, anything more than vanilla sex in a relationship, unless we explored it together over time), or just generally. My brain can’t really identify in what way this could be the case, though.

I’ve found I’m even more hesitant to just jump into a relationship, or have sex with someone considering the newer mass of information I’ve been finding; but perhaps this is just my naïveté or ignorance talking. Not sure!
