New sound is so exciting

This new song is really beautiful! The vocals and group harmonies/vocal layering are sooooo good, genuinely really stunning and I love hearing how democratic this new direction is feeling. It kind of felt like “Isaac Woods + band” in previous eras, which is perfectly fine, but this new direction is such a breath of fresh air compositionally. It feels so layered and dense, everyone really gets a time to shine, and that SAX MELODY AT THE START? Gorgeous, jaw dropping, blissful. The 4/4 rhythm on the drums contrasting with the 6/8 rhythm of the band is really interesting and keeps me on my toes but feels so natural. I love how the sax will also double the main vocal melody, the little guitar part at the first verse is KILLER writing. Such a dense but accessible sound I feel, and the lyrics being such a contrast in being blunt and honest is so cool (also how cool is it to have a fun sapphic song in the BC,NR discog?). Either way, super excited for the new album and I’m really excited to see what they do next!
