I think start of combat dragons are pretty poorly designed
This isn't about balance or whatever, I think they're fine balance wise actually. I'm talking about the design of the tribe itself.
I managed to get a good game with start of combat dragons going today, got second after facing the undead token build for obvious reasons. The only problem is, I was basically afk the past 4 rounds. In the past 3 quite literally so, I had an emergency and had to go and leave the game running, and i still won 3 out of 4 combats without literally doing anything during the shopping phase; because honestly there was literally nothing i could do during the shopping phase anyway. Before even getting to tavern 6 I was boardlocked and the rest of the match was just afk gaming
There's a bunch of other tribes that are just "set up board and sit" in the game, too (undead for example), but I feel like this is the worst example. It has little to no variety in builds (it's all poet+nightbane+some scaling, usually just promodrake), and you usually can't afford to swap out units due to the nature of its scaling, so you usually find yourself boardlocked and searching for maybe some triple if you're lucky, or just without any option to improve your board at all
There's also not really any 6 drops that work with the build (hatespawn can be ok if you get it early i guess but that's rare), so there's no reason to level to 6 and you cap way too early
I wish they did something about this, I personally feel like it's one of the least fun tribes to play atm. Does anyone else feel like this? Or is it just me
