What's the best budget smart TV that's actually worth buying?

I don't give a crap about picture quality, 1080 is plenty good enough, and I don't have room for anything bigger than a 40"-class. I just want a smart TV that isn't gawd awful slow and doesn't crash all the time. Do I have to spend 4-figures and get some UHD 4k what-not that's bigger than my livingroom to get a smart TV that will load Bluey before my child is a teenager and doesn't want to watch Bluey anymore? (his loss) Hoping someone can help me out here because I've had a Samsung, Philips, Roku (TCL?), and now a FireTv, and they've all been crap right out the box.

Solved: Dumb TV with a Fire Stick. I actually still have an old one, but might get a new one instead, and find myself the size, dumb TV of my choice. Thanks everyone, and especially u/MaineKent!
