First Camera. Am I Making the Right Choice?
Hi all! I'm looking to pick up my first mirrorless camera for a hobby. I've done quite a bit of research reguarding different brands and lenses. I think I've narrowed it down to a couple options, but wanted to get some feedback on what would be better long term for building a collection of lenses over time.
First body I was looking at is the Canon R50. It seems like a great camera to learn on but my only hesitation is the RF mount and how much the lenses cost.
Second body I'm looking at is the Sony a6700. Even though it's double the price of the R50, it seems like I can find a lot more lenses for e-mount and they seem to be way more affordable lenses on the used market.
If you were me just starting out, would you start with the cheaper body like the R50, or jump straight into something like the a6700? It seems inticing to get the cheaper Canon body, but I feel like I would pay more in the long run for lenses. I'm open to other recommendations as well and definitly am not afraid to start with a used body either.
