Why do people hate Catholicism?

This is a question I've been thinking of awhile now; why is Catholicism so hated online? I've heard the following reasons; 'it's because catholics worship Mother Mary' or something along the lines of Catholicism being too woke and pro-LGBTQ.

Is it misinformation or do people just hate Catholicism because other people do?
