Arthur Pendragon, a disappointment.

R5: The Legend "Legacy of Arthur Pendragon" features a rather disappointing version of the once and future King.

When playing as Ruler in England with the legends of the dead DLC, you get to celebrate the legend of King Arthur by claiming descendance from the House of Pendragon. According to CK3, Artwyr ap meurig, Prince of Deheubarth, is Britain's legendary hero. (Hear ye now a little rant on the matter) Now, it has to be said that, yes, the connection between Artwys ap Meurig and King Arthur has been made by historians in the 19th century. However, this has long since fallen out of fashion, given his supposed life time. The life time of the in-game Prince Artwys actually mirrors that suggestion. Also we believe today that Arthur probably wasn't a historical figure at all. Wouldn't it have been fun to reward players with a more mythical approach by actually including the fictional Arthur? Date him into the 5th or 6th century and give him a few fitting traits ? To at least make him King of Wales, not Prince of Deheubarth? I mean the mechanic is called "Legends" not "Mediocre Ancenstry". Not to mention that I've just gotten an event where my wife accuses me of claiming descendance from a sinner. I'm sure that's a generic event, but it does not fit at all. And if I remember correctly, the legend of King Sceafa, which is available as a holy legend, doesn't actually feature the "grandson of Noah" as a character, so why bother with Arthur.
