140/Garage is more interesting than Dnb right now...

I'm 38 I've been listening to Drum n Bass for close to 25 years.

I like everything from liquid to tech step/neuro, jungle and even the odd bit of jump up.

I have to say tho the recent scene peaked about 18 months ago and I'm increasingly finding it hard to find new stuff I like. The Jungle revival is cool but getting a bit formulaic now, there's barely any good soulful DnB and the mainstream sound at the moment really isn't for me.

Meanwhile I'm loving new garage, Sammy Virji, Bakey, Main Phase, Cesco, Hamdi etc. All putting out absolute fire. And to me more in line with the DnB sound of old. Not over produced, wicked drops and plenty of soul and fun.

Am I missing out? Getting jaded because I'm old? Or is the current scene in a bit of a creative rut?
