Commander Gaius Help

I'm really struggling with this dude I seem to fail every charge dodge roll, is there something I'm missing when trying to dodge him or it really just last min timing I need to get down? Idk what his second phase is even like cuz I die like right at the door lol

I'm like level 230 on I think NG+4 but tbh I don't remember could be NG+5, I've been using spells and mimic but still just get slaughter by this big piggy :(
