Nursing home

Hi, recently joined a practice where I’ve taken on the nursing home ward round. Was keen to make a good impression and build relationships, but feel we are now too familiar and wish to regain that professional respect that I think is slipping. Is this impossible now? Any useful tips would be much appreciated.
