Hashi antibodies and now hyperthyroid?
I (31F) found out I had Thyroid Antibodies a year ago. I cut out gluten and started taking thyroid support supplements. My TSH, T3, T4 have always been normal and I monitor them every 3 months. My antibodies have gone from 100 -> 400, and have oscillated between those numbers.
A few weeks ago, I started having painful migraines, tremors, elevated heart rate, heat sensitivity, and weightloss. I didn't immediately connect the dots with my thyroid (first time experiencing any symptoms) and continued my supplements, while trying to figure out what was wrong.
My blood tests just came back and my TSH is <0.005 and T4 > 7.77. All levels were perfectly normal 2 months ago.
I've been prescribed methimazole and beta blockers by my primary care doctor. I'm trying to figure out what is going on and not freak out about the sudden/drastic change in my health. I'm starting to do my own research while waiting to see an endo.
Is this normal for Hashimotos? Would love any perspective from anyone who has been through this before. Thank you in advance!
