Has anyone quit tobacco/smoking in general and noticed a significant difference in their flare ups?

I’m 21 y.o. (F) and I was just recently diagnosed with HS. I’ve done my due diligence to cut possible triggers (yeast, milk and processed foods), but I find it hard to stop smoking. I started smoking when I was 16 and the habit has stuck with me since. Going cold turkey is something I want to avoid, because nicotine withdrawal is the last thing I want rn. I’m still not sure what my triggers are, as I haven’t noticed any difference in my condition after making the aforementioned changes. I’m afraid tobacco might be a big trigger for me so the efforts I’m making are basically futile. Should I just tough it out and not smoke, and for how long would I have to quit to be sure tobacco is a trigger? Any past experiences or any advice is much appreciated (;
