First square

I'm thinking about buying my first squared notebook and I wanted some tips

The main reason for choosing gridding is that it allows me a freedom that I don't have with lined paper and at the same time limits me more than stippling. My only frustration so far is that I can only find the 0.5×0.5 mm one. I wanted to find the 7.0×0.7 one since I have a large font.

That said, I would like to receive tips to write without too many problems in this new notebook. How do you do it? Do they usually alternate between lines or do they follow the normal course? Is it very different from dotted and lined? What type of pens do you use?
