What contributed to your smooth & “quick” recovery post-MD?

I’ve seen lots of comments in this subreddit from folks whose pain subsided pretty quickly post-MD. I’ve also seen some people report quicker recoveries than others in terms of how soon they were able to get back to exercising & hobbies.

My MD is scheduled for Jan 8th and I’m curious - For those of you who experienced a pretty smooth recovery post-MD, is there anything specific you did pre-op or post-op that might’ve contributed to your successful recovery?

I know that everyone’s body/injuries are different which largely impacts recovery time, but I’m just wondering if anyone feels like they implemented certain things that helped them heal faster.
