What keeps you engaged into a dynasty?

Really wanting to see how other people keep themselves interested in dynasties outside of year 1. Can be offline or online but just wanted to see if there’s any particular reasons that I can add before rebooting. Understand now that limiting team options is a negative for a lot of people even with competitiveness in mind.
