PSA Plan B Compatibility
Just a PSA for y’all. I’ve never done this, but I have some concerns with compatibility with the Wolfpack armory items and our devices.
We made a post on our instagram and wanted to let everyone know that we do not recommend them being used at this time with our products or other plan B products.
There are three issues that popped up, one being more significant than the other. Two engineering related and one quality related.
- They’re using a 24 degree taper instead of a 25. The inside of their adapters are also 24 degrees.
With the angles mismatching, it can cause leakage, unscrewing and if over tightened, damage to the taper.
When combined with issue #2 they can also lead to alignment issues.
Liberty, Dillinger, fcd and q all use 25 degree tapers for the muzzle device.
There is a secondary loss limiting alignment feature built into the part. It’s undersized by .020”
The pitch diameter on the measured samples were undersized significantly and went on our no go gauge.
I reached out to Wolfpack last week and gave them the correct info but they would not respond with the angle of their muzzle device taper.
Their parts will work together just fine, so if you’re using their parts together, worry not.
