Direct to Discharge Notification

Update!!! Just checked the Fedloan app for probably the 20th time today, because, it’s what I do…

I couldn’t open the app because “it is not accessible if you do not have a loan balance”… okay what?!?!

Crying my face off at the moment!

Hi all! Long term lurker, first time poster. I just spoke with Fedloan regarding a variety of questions and the representative told me that just today my account was updated with a “direct to discharge notification”. The rep couldn’t tell me which loans or amounts.

I was told that this is the same notification they received/noted in my file when I received my first batch of forgiveness back in November and it’s about a 4 day turnaround from when they receive this direction until my account is updated.

I’m wondering if anyone is familiar with this terminology and if this means another round of batch forgiveness is happening this week?

While part of me is super excited to see how the rest of the week shakes out and I’m also pretty nervous!
