Can we stop incentivising players to not play?

I was just in a game with a Drain Crown, Aeos Cookie, Exp Share Miraidon, and we won. I noticed he had a returning player tag as well, and so I got to thinking.

Obviously this player isn't someone who paruses the reddit or does extra curricular studying on Unite, but they're a returning player. I read pretty much at least one comment every post that says something like "OH yeah, play one week and stop playing for two to get more aeos coins" and sure, that's true and all, but to the people that actually play the game. Does that help you get better? Does playing the game once every two weeks make you an asset to your team? Does it teach you macro? How to use your map? How to even PLAY the pokemon you're trying to get?

I know that if this is one of the reasons the skill floor is so low in the game it's a very small one that probably only applies to an even smaller portion of players. But it always has rubbed me the wrong way when there are so many people that are upset with the skill level in there matches, and (be it a separate group of people or the same group) other people telling players to just not play the game.

I'm genuinely interested in hearing people's thoughts on this! Thank you for your time.
