Finally passed Power BI PL 300 exam with 906/1000 score!
Hey Everyone!
I have finally passed my Microsoft PL 300 exam with a 906/1000 score!!! I was waiting and dreading this moment since I have started my prep months ago. The test isn't too hard if you prepare well ahead.
Here are my tips on how to clear the test:
- Follow Microsoft learning path. I find this a bit boring but I would strongly advise to do it first. Try to understand the theory and do not skip lab excercises. If you don't understand certain aspects, google it untill you get it. Simulate painpoints in power bi desktop to get the better idea.
- Hands-on experience. I am blessed to have a job which is related to dashboard development and BI as a whole. Use knowledge gained in step # 1 and try to apply in real world.
- Watch youtube videos on how to clear the exam. There are plenty of them online, just do proper research
- Do some practice tests. There is a practice assessment on MS but it hardly resembles the real exam. Instead, I would suggest do examtopics or measureup.
- Case study. I had only 1 with 6 questions. My advise is just read questions first and then scan the text in the description. This would save tonnes of time
- Try to do something related to Power BI every day. You can't learn everything at one day before the exam. Just focus on the goal and try to sleep well before the test.
By the way, for those of you looking for practice tests, I can share mock tests with answers from examtopics since I don't need it anyway. Some questions are exactly the same as in the examtopics. Just DM me and I will share that with you.
