What was Truman’s history regarding the Japanese Internment Camps?

Here he is pictured with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, comprised of interned Japanese Americans. I believe that Truman disagreed with the order to intern them and did set them free as President. I’m not sure what he knew before he was President however or his complete actions as President. Any good sources to read would be great
