Surprised by the Reaction to Using GPT-4 for Finding a Roommate

I recently used GPT-4 to write a post looking for a roommate. I thought it was a great way to save time, make the post clear, and easy to read. But the response was surprising—some people mocked it, and I posted a comment that initially had 3 upvotes, but when I checked again after waking up, it had dropped to 0. Not sure what changed overnight, but it’s surprising to see such a shift.

I’m honestly puzzled. We’re in a tech-savvy community, so I didn’t expect this pushback. Why are some people against using AI for something as simple as a roommate search?

Also, I want to clarify that I don’t agree with the user who mocked people for not using GPT. Everyone should choose what works best for them based on their needs and budget.

Oh, and by the way, GPT-4 helped me write this post too—and I think it did a great job!
