Should I buy the Nvidia shield?

Hello,

I have recently bought a TCL 75C804 smart TV, which uses Google OS. I usually use "questionable" sites for streaming my soccer on my monitors, but I'd like to do the same on my TV. I was wondering if the Nvidia Shield allows for this? I for example can't use these sites on older sites (or mobile devices) as it simply doesn't play back the sources.

Also, I was wondering if the 4K upscaling is worth it? I'm not sure how good/bad the TCL is at it.
