season 2 is horrible

I needed somewhere to vent out my frustrations on the new season because I honestly loved season 1 (didn’t read the webtoon so I can’t say much in terms of how true it stuck to that) but there was such a balance between the intense and emotional parts with heartwarming and funny ones.

I was already not happy about how they killed off most of the memorable characters in the first season (especially at the end where it felt like it was solely for shock value) but I was still looking forward ti seeing how things would play out in season 2. But obviously they had to kill off or bench most of the remaining meaningful characters within the first 2 eps and kill off interesting storylines.

The tone and atmosphere is completely different. I knew after s1 that things were going to pick up or intensify but wtf is going on?? I spent half the time confused af. Also, why are the monsters turning into zombies and having multiples? the main point that made the monsters in the first season compelling was the fact that they represent their desires… where did that plotline go????????

I’m so upset cause, I had hope that they were still going to make a good show inspired by the main story but the only thing that even resembles the original are the character names and the fact that there are monsters
