Haven't played since 2022- what exactly is new?

Hi all, played and beat the game a few years back during lockdown and i had a blast. I still look back fondly on that run and still visit the old base occasionally. it has, however, been about 3 years since i've played the game and 3 years worth of content has been added- i was incredibly confused today when i got my shit rocked by a gnome. if anyone would be willing to drop a quick summary of what's new since 1.3 for me in the replies i would be very grateful. thank you.
