Post-2000s media that were ahead of their time?
The whole 2000s will be 20 years ago in half a decade. This is a crumbling into dust post, I know. So let's talk about media that came out in that time that, by today's standards, is pretty remarkable.
I've been informed Avatar the Last Airbender will turn 20 this year. Man, that show stood the test of time and continues to do so. It came out in 2005 and was western animation's first attempt at anime-influence action cartoons and they nailed it in every way. From stellar animation, to story, to characters, to worldbuilding, to its Asian influence; all wrapped up in 3 seasons with 60 episodes. Besides Legend of Korra and Boondocks, western anime-influence (art form) cartoons didn't kick off until the late 2010s with Voltron, She-ra POP, and Castlevania, just to name a few. But those shows suffered pacing/plot/production issues and tried too hard to be mature while Avatar was finished, consistent, and carefully tackled its mature themes while still being a kids show. This was lightning in a bottle.
