What keeps you motivated to keep playing when there's so little to do?

Hey everyone,

I wanted to ask what keeps you motivated to stick with the game, especially since it feels like there's not much going on at times. Don't get me wrong, I’m not here to criticize the game, I just want to understand how it makes sense for you personally to continue the grind.

For me, I’m currently level 43, and I log in daily to complete the dailies and use waveplates. What keeps me motivated right now is the fact that I’m close to hitting level 45, where I can finally get the weapon chest and upgrade my rover. Beyond that, I’m waiting for the upcoming update and plan to get the Shorekeeper. To be honest, I find characters like Changli and Yinlin way cooler, but I have no way of getting them since I only started playing about 3 weeks ago.

Here's what I'm thinking though: I’m playing currently to get the next available resonator, but what’s the point after I get him? Since he’s a support character, he probably won’t even be that visible in combat, and even if he is, I’m not sure how useful he’ll be - maybe I’ll get a few extra floors in the Tower?

The new content they’ve announced doesn’t seem that exciting either, or am I missing something?

Long story short: I want to know what keeps you all motivated to keep going.
