Thoughts on Dweezil?

Realizing now that I've really only heard recordings of his stuff with Frank (and also that one Weird Al Zappa-pastiche song he contributed to)-- is he worth a listen? I've heard some people say that he tries to lean too far into his father's brand; I've heard others say he's a better guitarist than Frank Zappa was. I'll probably wind up checking him out anyways, but I was curious as to what the general consensus is.
