Punch hesitency
Hello,
Been boxing for roughly two and a half years now and spar around once a week. I’d say our gym goes at 50-70% intensity for three-four rounds a session.
I’ve noticed that as my sparring partners have improved, I’m throwing less as I’m encountering more pressure punchers or shorter fighters who negate my long jab. I’ve also had a few injuries such as rib and wrist injuries which meant I couldn’t use certain punches for a while and I find reincorporating them back into my sparring sessions tricky. I’m thinking about throwing certain shots but just not letting my hands go.
Is there anything you do that allows you to throw with more output or any drills you recommend doing that can transfer over into sparring. Thanks!
