Breaking up synthetic insulation
Hey all, Have a newer Proton Hoody (08/24) where in the left arm, the synthetic insulation is starting to gather up in some spots, leaving part of the sleeve larger then the other parts, even when laid out flat on a floor (NOT wrinkles, it is a line of stacked insulation.) While I don’t care about how it looks, I would like to not lose warmth in some spots on my arm, leaving it colder than the rest. Is there any way to re-break up the insulation? Heard that putting a tennis ball in the dryer with synthetics does damage so haven’t tried yet but open to anything. It’s been washed 3-4x, with no noticeable changes. Not sure if it’s something I just let go or try to fix. Open to any and all ideas, thank you guys! NOTE: I also have another Proton, bought last year, with nothing happening like this so I’m pretty confused considering the one that sees less use now has this issue. Thanks!
