If there was no downside to being trans, how many people would be openly trans?
Not trans, just have a question.
I recently learned that roughly 0.6% of people are trans. I know some people don't come out/transition/realise and some refuse to accept it and some don't know about it and etc...
This makes me wonder. Lets say there were no downsides to being trans. Imagine bigotry and discrimination don't exist anymore, being trans is taught as normal alternative to being cis, there is no cost or pain attached to transitioning, etc...
How many people do you think would openly be trans in such a world?
