Permanent blood pressure increase on Bupropion
Last year around August I was feeling depressed, so I called my pharmacy to refill and use an old bupropion 150mg prescription (without Titrating) and my blood pressure shot up to 250/120 (It's usually around 160/80). It was this high for several months and I had no idea because the blood pressure cuff I was using was inaccurate. I only discovered it at the doctors office and was immediately rushed to the er; there I was giving nifedipine, lisinopril, and chlorthalidone to make it go down. Doctors discovered that I had anemia and vitamin d deficiency and a little strange reading on my ekg (nothing that could explain my high readings). My heart was x rayed and didn't have any obstruction. I then visited a cardiologist who said my readings on the stress test were fine. I had a similar BP scare 2 years earlier when taking bupropion, though it only went up to 190 - 200 and it went away after some time. It's been almost a year since i started medication and I think its permanent. Not sure what's causing it.
