Question: Is it possible to have protein overload if none of your products have added protein in it?

Hi! I have been told by many that my hair appears protein overloaded (dries out near the root after a shower, crispy strands that bend in many different ways, challenges clumping - even with clarifying shampoo)

I have reviewed the ingredients of my products (all are davines) and none have protein and all are way above my budget. Clarifying shampoo without protein, followed by a protein free regimen continues to give me a "protein-overloaded look".

Would love to know if protein overload can happen without protein-containing products.

Might be time to try olaplex or get my blood tested for anemia, etc.
