Date Cancels After Sexting

Throw away account because my family knows my handle. I 40F matched on Hinge with a 39M. We talked for a week exchanging casual chat about our lives, jobs, previous relationships, moved off app, and arranged a date in 3 days. Then, yesterday, things heated up and we sexted all day. It was mutual and consensual. We changed our plans to meet at my house today, planning to spend today (July 4) and my birthday (tomorrow) together. He was texting things like “I can’t get you out of my head.” We started again this morning, but he stopped it, telling me he had stuff to get done today. Around 2, I hadn’t heard from him, so texted asking if he was still coming over. Nothing. Texted again around 4, asking him to just let me know. He texted back that he got caught up in some July 4 plans with his friends and wishing me happy birthday. I texted back saying “thanks, let me know you want to reschedule, I’m still interested in meeting and getting to know you.” I’m especially hurt because he changed the plans at the last minute on July 4, my birthday is tomorrow, and I don’t sext a lot. Is he gone? Anything I can do to salvage this?
