Has January 2025 been one of the most eventful months of the decade so far?

Reminds me of January 2020 in a way. Justin Trudeau resigned, the LA wildfires, the Gulf coast blizzard, Tiktok getting banned in the US, Israel-Hamas ceasefire, Trump's inauguration and the events succeeding that, and China's DeepSeek AI releases which now rivals ChatGPT in performance.

December 2024 was also pretty eventful and this feels like a continuation of that.
