Struggling on 2

Hello everyone I finished the first dying light not too long ago and had a great time and didn’t struggle too much at all

Im barely starting out 2 and I went to a random encounter with a bunch of renegades and one big one and I keep getting my ass handed to me and the whole indoors are more dangerous during the day but safer at night but outside is more dangerous during night idk it’s alot and idk if I like that concept

Is this why ppl say 1 is better? If someone says skill issue oh well but I’m pretty good at the first game so I’m just curious if anyone else has the same dislikes about this game as me, Ive tried playing it in the past with the same issue
