(Serious Discussion) The Feelings, Expectations, and the Facts for the Super Bowl

(TLDR: Feeling overly confident about this game. Should I/we temper expectations or is this legit. Would like your feelings/thoughts.)

Since the Birds won the NFC Championship last weekend, my feelings have been that this team is going to win next weekend handedly. This is the same feelings that almost everyone I have talked has had since the NFC Championship (my wife, my kids, family, friends, coworkers, etc.). All have things they are worried about, but most remain the common reasons (SB and/or 4th quarter Mahomes, Spagnuolo's defense scheme and adjustments, the refs (which I personally believe will not be a factor), etc.). I tried telling myself last Sunday night to give it some time since maybe I was still on the high of the blowout of the Commanders, but the feeling remains.

However, here I am, and the feelings are still there. I do believe that they can easily beat the Chiefs and can do so in a huge way. For example, non-PHI or KC fans walking away from the game because it's not competitive enough for them. I am trying to analyze what I can and listen to others on what they see, whether with talking directly with others, listening to TV/radio, internet articles and analysis, or comments here on Reddit. I look at the comparisons in all the facets of the game, and this is just my personal take, and I see the Eagles having the advantage in every area except head coach (Reid's experience and knowledge), QB (this one was almost a toss-up given Hurts' play last week and not a knock on him at all), DC, and kicker (for obvious reasons). Every other area I feel the Eagles have the advantage, better player, better assistance coach, experience, etc.

Furthermore, I have heard several people say that the line is what it is right now mainly because of Super Bowl/4th Quarter Reid and Mahomes. So that got me thinking even more. Is this team going to win and are they going to win handedly? Is this purely a feeling? Is this the high of the Washington blowout? Obviously, anything can happen on any given game, SB or regular season. The play and talent tell me otherwise and I am trying to temper my expectations. Going into both LAR and WAS games I was cautiously (and nauseously) optimistic. Then we got the Barkley game against the Rams and the overall team demolition of the Commanders. What uneasy feelings I had going into those games went away. I think part of it was also seeing how the Chiefs played against the Texans and Bills and could have easily lost those games against them.

So, I ask all of you - what are you feeling? What should we expect? Should I or we temper our expectations. Am I being overconfident? Is this just the feelings or is there more to it that is setting expectations? I would love to hear from others on how they feel and what they think about this.
