Battery leak

Hello, I’m about time buy a second hand Crystal Furby Boom and the seller sent me the picture of the battery compartment and it looks slightly oxidised on at least one spring. They say it works perfectly fine, and I know I can clean it, I just hope it didn’t leak anywhere else.

Do you think it will affect its functionality?
