Why is there no open-world, anime styled shooter gacha game yet?
Similar to something like Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon games where you can freely explore an open-world map, doing campaign, side missions, random events, finding loot, etc., but anime-styled. Gacha can still be implemented with weapons, weapon skins, characters, vehicle skins, outfits, gear skins, etc. The game can continue to be updated with map expansions, campaign/lore updates, and events for filler patches.
I've always desired something like this. There is an anime style shooter game I'm playing right now, which is Strinova.
If we could get something that's open-world, I would be SPENDING HEAVY on it. I most likely wouldn't even be bored because I could just do A LOT of fun things to pass the time quickly. For example, trying to raid a security stronghold through stealth methods or going all-out with a machine gun. Or some kind of mission where you save a VIP hostage locked up in a tower. Tons and tons of ideas to implement.
Then there can also be multiplayer where maybe up to 4 other players can join you in raiding a place, doing events or missions.
What's keeping companies back from doing this kind of game? Is it really that difficult to create? File size will be insane? Animations will be crazy hard to do? I don't know much about developing games, but again, if a company out there is working on something like this, man would I be pouring in a lot of money to support it.
