How does the points on rankeds work?

I've recently started playing rankeds with a friend. Since the beggining of the game we've been playing together. There's no single match we haven't played together. However, we get different points in every ranked match, so even playing with each other all the time, we are getting different ranks. We can't find the reason why sometimes you get more or less points. Can someone help me figure it out?
