Zach Edey Vs BC Vs Jay Huff
When it comes to rotating the big men, I’ve noticed a tendency for the rotation to either favor Zach Edey or Brandon Clarke depending on the mobility of the center of the other team. In my opinion it should be (and I would like it I hear others)
Zach Edey > Jay Huff > BC
Zach Edey with experience, can add great rebounding to the team and great rim protection. He needs mins to keep developing and if all goes well, he will be a big factor on Memphis on both sides of the floor.
Jay Huff I think offensively is a complete big man. He can shoot the ball and has good enough athleticism to be a threat in the paint. I think his major draw backs are his defense outside of rim protection and his intensity when it comes to rebounding. Idk if those skills will come but clearly he developed a lot in the off-season offensively. However, he gets garbage mins.
BC seems like he lost some of his athleticism he use to have, and that doesn’t help when your playing center at 6’7 w/o shoes. He has great moments but I definitely see him struggling against the bigger centers of the league.
What do you guys currently think about the big rotation? I definitely don’t want to see JJJ playing center esp after that OKC game (he’s a 3/4 imo).
