The scene in The Crab™ was probably just a mistake but I'd bet they removed it in the pick-up scene because they didn't want it colliding with Knuckles' model and hoped no one would notice. Silly Sega! Don't they know Tails fans overanalyze everything? Ha! Also this edit is cute
