Looking for affordable carry-on recommendations

Hello everyone, I am a student studying abroad and would like to buy a bag/backpack to be able to use as a carry-on for long flights but also for short trips.

I don't want to spend too much money but I'm willing to make exceptions if it's really worth it. I need it to be able to carry my laptop, camera and other electronics safely but also relatively comfortable for my back. I'm 5'5/165cm so I'm a bit worried that some backpacks might be too big for me.
