Wrote this to help myself feel better. Might help you too. :)

Motivation to get through

When sickness hits and drowsiness drifts,

It feels like the end with every twist,

The ache, the squeeze, the tears that fall,

Yet still, we wonder through it all.

Is my baby okay in here?

Did that pain cause any fear?

In every moment, we pause, we think,

Worry more for them than ourselves in the brink.

Before you're a mom, you're you, my friend,

Building a life, piece by piece, again and again.

A million pieces form a heart and a soul,

But you are a person, too, with a whole.

It's okay to feel the pain, the ache,

The exhaustion and fears, the tears we make.

To cry in the sink, to sit in the tub,

To wonder if we’ll ever feel enough.

The loneliness creeps when they’re not near,

The world feels heavy, the doubt severe.

Will everything change? What’s ahead?

The worry swirls around your head.

But breathe, just breathe, in this moment, be still,

Feel the now, let go of the “what if” and the “what will”.

You are enough, you’re doing great,

Sit down every day, give yourself grace,

Release the hustle, slow down the pace.

You're not alone, I'm right here, too,

We'll get through it, we'll see it through.

You are loved, you are strong,

And though the journey feels so long,

You're going to be a fabulous mum,

With courage, strength—when all is said and done.

In the quiet, in the loud,

You are making a difference, and that is something to be proud of.

Every step forward is progress, my friend,

And this journey will be worth it at the end.
