I hate how people still think Thong Sandal Heels are “flip flops”

I see it all the time in a lot of places, I wear thong sandal heels a lot with my outfits and despite the knowledge from those in the fashion world, outsiders don’t treat it any different than flip flops and assume it’s beachwear and it’s annoying as hell.

Thong Heels fail into the heel category and are a relatively new trend, excluding how they looked in the 70s as their relevance was more of a ‘new kid on the block’ variety.

They’ve made a more serious comeback in fashion and casual wear and go with almost anything, they capitalise on any outfit you wear and the styles are different, hence why they don’t all look the same. It’s a take on the “nothing shoe” which is not a sandal or flip flop but a heel with a new take as it exposes most of your foot.

I’m just saying it’s annoying how half of the people still don’t like it’s contribution to the fashion industry.
