What's your favorite retro stealth game, that's not metal gear solid?

I found tenchu stealth assassins a lot of fun. Story is nonsensical but the stealth gameplay and the kills are rather entertaining. What's your favorite retro stealth title? I also like splinter cell a lot, but that doesn't fit the sub rules lol
