How do I send my Sim home?

Hi! I'm new to Sims 2 and having fun with it. How do I send my Sim home from a Lot? I got her a cell phone and that works sometimes, but right now there's no other option other than "Targets" which doesn't do anything. I also don't see a "Go Home" option in the menu. I have the Legacy version if that helps.
